Studies indicate the population of horseshoe crabs has declined. Beneath their tough exterior lies a vulnerable creature whose well-being has widespread ramifications on the environment, the economy and human health. Now researchers are counting on volunteers to help collect data on these vital species in their efforts to get the crab population stabilized.
