Big Deal: A Pact to Protect Guatemala's Tropical Forests
The Nature Conservancy has just brokered one of the largest debt-for-nature swaps in history — and scored a big victory for jaguars, scarlet macaws, and other tropical forest wildlife in Guatemala. Under the agreement, Guatemala will use $24 million of forgiven debt to fund protection efforts for three natural preserves there, containing some of the richest biodiversity on our planet.

Send a Scary Ecard for Halloween
Our free Halloween-themed ecards feature stunning photography of some of the scariest animals around — owls, bats, spiders, and more! Despite their frightful appearance, these images all depict the biodiversity we're working to protect. Sending a scary ecard is a great way to share your love of nature — no matter what nature looks like!
