How You Can Help
Help us prepare for the critical conservation challenges facing our most important natural places in the New Year by making a special year-end gift to the Conservancy today. Your gift will help ensure the diversity of life on Earth now and for future generations.
Other Ways to Give
Looking to leave a conservation legacy for future generations to cherish? Making a planned gift to the Conservancy offers you an extraordinarily flexible and simple way to combine philanthropy with financial planning. A planned gift may help you give more to conservation than you thought possible while also providing you with favorable financial and/or tax benefits.
Hurry! Our Photo Contest Ends Dec. 31
More than 8,000 images have been entered in the Conservancy's first-ever digital photo competition — but there's still time to send yours! One winning image will be featured on the nature.org website, and another picture will be printed in the 2008 Conservancy calendar. And use the link below to check out other submissions!

Put Your IRA to Work for Conservation

A G'Day for Conservation in Australia
The Conservancy will administer one of the largest private gifts ever made to conservation in Australia — a $10 million challenge grant made by philanthropist David Thomas. While Australia is one of the most biodiverse places on Earth, it also has the highest rate of species extinction anywhere. Says Thomas: "The Conservancy has the science, the tactical planning and the partnerships to achieve tangible, long-term success."

Healing an Ecosystem: Restoring Santa Cruz Island
Centuries of human activity have wreaked ecological havoc on Santa Cruz Island, the largest of the chain of eight Channel Islands rising out of the Pacific Ocean off the Southern California coast due west of Los Angeles. But thanks to the Conservancy, bald eagles, Santa Cruz Island foxes, and ten other endangered endemic species are making a comeback on the island and restoring its delicate ecological balance.
