Climate Change Melts a Sacred Glacier
Melting glaciers in China's northwest Yunnan Province are proof that temperatures there are rising twice as fast as the global average, say Conservancy scientists. The warming trend has cultural impacts, too — these glaciers are found on the eight mountains sacred to Tibetan Buddhists.
