You can make a lasting difference now and for future generations when you set a tree planting goal for you and your friends using our campaign widget below.
Why Set a Goal
The trees will be planted by Conservancy staff and partners working in The Atlantic Forest of Brazil. The Atlantic Forest is considered one of the world's most endangered tropical forests -- only 7% of its original area remains.
Tropical forests like this one play a particularly special role in the fight to end global climate change. And this reforestation effort to Plant a Billion Trees in The Atlantic Forest will remove 10 million tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere every year -- that's like taking 2 million cars off the road.
How To Set a Goal
The campaign widget is shown to the right on this page and it's easy to download for inclusion on your blog, web site or social network web page, like Facebook or MySpace.
- In the "New Goal" field, enter your tree planting goal and click the "update" button.
- Click the "get snippet" button to display HTML code — you can copy and paste to post the campaign widget on your blog or page.
- You're done!
As people click your campaign widget and donate, the progress toward your tree planting goal will increase. And when you hit 100%, your campaign widget will let everyone know what you helped to accomplish toward planting a billion trees.
Thanks for taking a stand to helping to make a big difference — one tree at a time!
