Climate change is upon us. The impacts are already being felt in Oregon and across the world. There is a path to a better future but we MUST take action to combat climate change before it’s too late.
Oregon lawmakers are currently considering passage of House Bill 2020 to create the Oregon Climate Action Program. This bill would reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Oregon, create good jobs in every county and invest in the restoration of our forests, rivers and streams to protect air and water quality and lessen the risk of catastrophic wildfire.
Please use this form to contact your Senator and Representative in support of House Bill 2020 and the Oregon Climate Action Program. Together, we can protect the air we breathe, the water we drink and the communities in which we live. The time to take action on climate change is now.
Pass House Bill 2020 and Create the Oregon Climate Action Program
In Oregon, we are already experiencing the impacts of climate change, and it's putting our communities, economies and lives at risk. We must accelerate the pace of climate action. There is no time to waste.
Please support passage of House Bill 2020 to curb greenhouse gas emissions without exemption or delay and dedicate funding to invest in and restore our forests, rivers and working lands to further reduce emissions and store more carbon.
The cost of doing nothing to prevent and adapt to climate change is too high and puts all Oregonians at risk. Seven in 10 Oregon voters, like me, support this step forward for Oregon. I encourage you to take strong action now and support HB 2020.
