Support Pennsylvania joining the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI).

Dear TNC

As a constituent, I'm contacting you today to urge you to support efforts to join the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI).

Climate change is a threat to the people and prosperity of Pennsylvania. Air quality, water quality, the production of our food, public health, and the resilience of our infrastructure are all increasingly challenged by climate change and the extreme temperature and precipitation trends that come with it. During the pandemic, nature became a refuge for Pennsylvanians and their families. But climate change also puts stress on the natural world - our waters, forests, plants, and wildlife.

Pennsylvania contributes an outsized share to the climate change problem. For itself and for the health of the climate, Pennsylvania has a responsibility to act. The good news is that the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) has proven to be an effective tool for the 11 participating northeast states that have joined, reducing their emissions while enjoying economic growth at the same time.

Please support Pennsylvania's efforts to join the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative and tackle climate change.

Sincerely,
