The projects in this program will help reduce or slow the worst consequences of climate change and protect habitats and the natural services they provide.

We follow the high standards described on the program web pages to ensure the credibility of our projects. During the course of these projects, standards may change or laws may be passed that dictate specific standards and methods for voluntary carbon offsets. if so, some of the approaches taken in our program may be modified to conform to these changes in standards or laws passed. In no event shall either party be liable to the other party for indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages of any kind. The Nature Conservancy shall in no event be liable for any failure to perform to the extent resulting from any cause or circumstance beyond reasonable control and which it could not have reasonably predicted and either prevented or overcome.
The Nature Conservancy makes no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, without limitation, any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. This disclaimer may not apply in all states.
The Nature Conservancy neither transfers nor sells carbon offsets through its voluntary carbon offset program. You contribute The Nature Conservancy; the projects in the Conservancy's voluntary carbon offset program create the carbon offsets, and then we retire the carbon offsets on your behalf. You neither take ownership over nor title to the carbon offsets. Donations to the charitable nonprofits are tax deductible because no financial benefit accrues to the donor.
