Thank you for creating a personal nature fund!

Your decision to take action for nature has a positive impact on the world's plants, animals and natural communities and the lands and waters on which they depend.

By creating a personal nature fund to benefit the Conservancy where help is needed most, you are inspiring your network of friends and family to share your passion for our natural world. Because of supporters like you, the Conservancy continues to work across the United States and in more than 30 countries, from Australia to Zambia to protect and preserve our natural legacy for future generations.

After setting up your nature fund page, you can immediately start fundraising! Here are some simple tips for what to do next:

  • Customize your personal fundraising page with photos and updates at any time.
  • Tell your story. Sharing why you care for our natural world is a meaningful and effective way to inspire others.
  • Promote your effort by using email and social media sites, like Facebook and Twitter, to quickly and easily reach out to your friends and family!
  • Review our Personal Nature Fund FAQ to get answers to common questions.

Best of luck and thanks!

Create Your Personal Fundraising Page

All donations made through your page support the overall mission of The Nature Conservancy, and the Conservancy retains the right to determine how the funds are used for conservation around the world. The story you share on your page reflects your personal views, which may differ from those of The Nature Conservancy.

The following image shows how the content elements are arranged on your default fund page. As you work with the sections below, the corresponding section in the image will highlight to indicate where that information will be located on the default fund page layout.

Your Fund Page: Your Fund Page:

The nature fund name will be the title of your personal fundraising page. Using a descriptive label — such as your name and your reason for creating the nature fund — will help people find your nature fund when they search for it. You can edit your nature fund's information at any time.

Your story is featured on your personal fundraising page. When you tell a compelling story of why you want to create your nature fund page, you help inspire your network of friends and family to support your goal. Examples of why people have created fund pages include being inspired by the Conservancy’s work and wanting to help engage others, asking for donations instead of birthday presents, adding an option for a wedding registry, taking part in athletic competition like a marathon or triathlon, and honoring a person who has made a positive impact for nature. Donations made through your page support the overall mission of The Nature Conservancy, so to avoid any confusion, your page should not suggest that donations will go towards any other location, animal or cause.

Upload a picture to add a personal touch to your personal fundraising page, and to help your network of friends and family make sure they are donating to the right nature fund. To show more than one picture, you can create photo albums upon completion of the initial setup.
